Choose the Connection Your Group Actually Needs

Choose a named connecting arrangement, match its beds to your group, and check that the reservation includes the connection. Start with MIMARU Tokyo Station East when separate single beds and apartment facilities matter; consider Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo for a smaller party willing to consider King bed sharing; investigate Imperial Hotel, Tokyo when you want a suite linked to additional rooms.

Decide who needs a separate bedroom, who needs an individual bed, and whether moving between rooms without using the corridor is essential. Those answers will help you choose the right setup before comparing prices.

Compare the Exact Connecting-Room Categories

The area figures below cover the complete connecting arrangement. Published occupancy and the number of separate beds are different things. These specifications do not establish availability for your dates.

MIMARU Tokyo Station East: More Single Beds and Apartment Facilities

Start with MIMARU if individual single beds and apartment facilities are your priorities. Each accommodation unit has a kitchen and dining area. That gives a group a way to organize meals independently, while the bathroom provision is another useful consideration when planning how everyone will get ready.

A family comfortable sharing existing beds may need a different arrangement from adult friends who all want individual beds. Make that decision before treating the maximum occupancy as your target.

The connecting category has no in-room washer-dryer; shared coin laundry is available. MIMARU’s FAQ also lists no breakfast service, restaurant or room service. Choose another arrangement if laundry inside your accommodation or meals served in the hotel are essential to your stay.

The search form puts ages 0–6 in the “No bed” category and counts guests aged 7 or older at check-in as adults. The child allowance does not add beds. Confirm how your children’s actual ages and sleeping needs fit this specific connecting category; do not assume the child listing supplies additional bedding.

Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo: A Two-Room Option for a Smaller Party

The single-room Deluxe Select listing is 35.5 m² for 1–2 guests; check that the offer you choose covers the connecting arrangement. Merely selecting the room name does not tell you that the linked pair is included.

Keio’s Japanese description offers Twin plus King, or King in both rooms, on request. This makes it worth comparing for a party comfortable sharing a King. A couple may be happy to take that sleeping arrangement, while friends who all require individual beds should settle the bed allocation before choosing it.

The published capacity does not establish an individual bed for every guest. Ask for the actual room combination and a bed list for each room, then decide who sleeps where.

Give the hotel children’s actual ages. Keio’s accommodation FAQ charges adult rates from elementary-school age and describes bed sharing for younger children. Confirm how the rule applies to your party and whether requested bedding and meals are included.

Imperial Hotel, Tokyo: A Larger Arrangement With Three Connected Rooms

Imperial’s Family Connecting Room joins a Junior Suite and additional Deluxe Park View rooms through connecting doors. The important distinction is the complete arrangement: it gives your group more connected accommodation units to allocate than a linked pair.

Consider it when the additional room has a clear purpose for your party. Write down how you would divide the group before requesting a quote. If a connected pair already meets everyone’s needs, compare that smaller setup before choosing additional capacity simply for the larger published area.

The occupancy ceiling is not a bed count. We have not established the complete bed allocation, extra bedding or child conditions for this category. Use Contact Us on the official room page, which directs reservation inquiries through that route, and ask for a proposal matching your party.

When You May Not Need Connecting Rooms

If separate bedrooms are enough, compare an apartment before committing to linked accommodation units. At the same MIMARU, the standard Two-Bedroom Apartment lists 41–46 m², 4 single beds, 1 bathroom and Adults 4 / Children 2. It is a separate category from the connecting product.

That is a useful alternative for a party whose bedroom and bed requirements fit the smaller apartment. Compare its bathroom provision and full stay total against your needs; a smaller published area alone does not establish a lower price or suitable luggage space.

If everyone can share a room, also compare Tokyo hotel rooms for three adults.

Separate hotel rooms may suit independent adults who do not need an internal connection. MIMARU’s and Keio’s FAQs both make adjacency requests subject to availability. Choose that approach only if the trip still works when the rooms are not next to each other.

Match the Room Setup to Your Tokyo Base

A suitable room arrangement still needs a workable arrival route and daily location. Check the station and exit that serve your actual train:

  • MIMARU’s access information gives a 2-minute walk from Hatchobori’s Hibiya Line Exit 4 and a 4-minute walk from its JR Keiyo Line Exit B1. Plan around those starting points when assessing the Tokyo Station East name.
  • Keio’s access guide gives a 5-minute walk from Shinjuku Station’s West Exit toward the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. At Tocho-mae, it identifies stairs at A1 (B1) and an elevator at A4.
  • Imperial’s access guide gives a 3-minute walk from Hibiya Exit A13 or a 5-minute walk from JR Yurakucho. Its Hibiya location is worth comparing when your plans focus on the Ginza and Marunouchi side of Tokyo.

These are hotel-published estimates from the named starting points, not measured platform-to-room times or verification of a completely step-free route. Check the complete arrival journey with luggage before booking.

If you are still choosing a district, read where to stay in Tokyo for your first visit and compare the journeys you will repeat during the stay.

Book the Arrangement, Then Check the Written Confirmation

Use the room information to turn a general preference into a reservation you can check:

  • Set out your dates, every adult, each child’s actual age and who needs a separate bed. Agree who can share before searching.
  • Match the exact category and complete connecting arrangement to the offer. Check the connected units, beds and bathrooms included for the whole party.
  • Resolve unclear wording with the seller and hotel before committing to a payment or cancellation condition you cannot accept. A request for nearby rooms is not confirmation of an internal connection.
  • Read the written confirmation for the agreed arrangement and guest allocation. If it only lists ordinary room categories, ask the seller and hotel to clarify what has been reserved.

Reader inquiry template — replace each bracketed field before sending:

Hello, we are planning a stay on [dates] with [number of adults] adults and children aged [each child’s actual age]. We are considering [exact category]. [Who needs a separate bed] needs an individual bed. Please confirm the accommodation units connected by internal doors, the beds and bathrooms in each unit, and how to enter our party’s ages. Is the connection included in the booking, and how will it appear in writing? Please also identify any additional bedding and its charges.

For Imperial’s arrangement, begin with the inquiry route on its official room page. For MIMARU and Keio, confirm that the offer covers the connecting setup described above, rather than relying on an adjacency request.

Compare the Full Stay Before Paying

Compare the complete stay for the same dates, guests and actual ages, connected units, sleeping arrangements, meals, taxes, property payments, cancellation deadlines and payment terms. A single-room price and a price covering the full arrangement are not equivalent quotes.

If a booking channel does not clearly describe the required setup, return to the hotel’s official information and ask how to arrange it. Do not substitute ordinary rooms simply because their combined occupancy looks sufficient.

Once your requirements are clear, compare Tokyo hotels for your dates on Expedia. This opens a Tokyo-wide search; no featured hotel or connecting category is preselected. It does not establish that these arrangements are sold or available through Expedia.
