Start With the Bed Dimensions You Need
For a shared King bed in Tokyo, choose by published width and length, then match the exact room category to the offer. The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho gives you a category choice between different widths. The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo offers a wider but shorter alternative to Gallery’s Deluxe King. Pullman Tokyo Tamachi needs extra verification because its Superior page lists different King configurations.
Write down your minimum width and minimum length separately, using a bed you know as a personal reference if helpful. Also decide whether sharing is essential or separate beds would work. These choices give you something specific to check before comparing prices.

Compare the Published King-Bed Specifications
| Hotel and exact category | Published King bed | Room area and listed occupancy | Main booking distinction |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho — Superior King | 1 bed; 180 × 203 cm | 36 m²; 2 guests | Match Superior King to the offer |
| The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho — Deluxe King | 1 bed; 200 × 203 cm | 42 m²; 2 guests | Extra width compared with Superior; unchanged length |
| The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo — Deluxe King | 1 bed; 220 × 200 cm | 46.07 m²; 2 guests | Check length as carefully as width |
| Pullman Tokyo Tamachi — Superior Room | 1 King: 180 × 210 cm with a large writing desk, or 230 × 210 cm with a window seat and work desk | 29 m²; up to 2 adults and 1 child; no rollaway | Wider configuration requires confirmation; a generic Superior King name does not establish it |
Official specifications: Gallery room list, Sakura Tower Deluxe King, and Pullman Superior Room.
Room area describes the room as a whole, not the sleeping surface or the floor left clear for luggage. Published specifications also do not establish availability for your dates.
For example, suppose you personally choose a minimum width of 200 cm and a minimum length of 203 cm. Those are illustrative preferences, not general or medical recommendations. Gallery’s Deluxe meets those chosen dimensions; its Superior falls short on width, while Sakura falls short on length. Pullman’s wider configuration meets the figures on paper, but its allocation still needs confirmation. Applying your own criteria this way keeps an attractive width from obscuring a length requirement.
The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho: A Category Choice
Consider Gallery when you want to compare sharing width within the same hotel. Moving from Superior King to Deluxe King adds 20 cm of width without adding length. That is a useful distinction if width is the reason you are considering the change; it will not solve a requirement for a longer bed.
If Superior already meets your dimensions, compare the actual offers before deciding that you need Deluxe. Choose the additional width only if it matters enough to you alongside the full stay total and other room requirements. The category names alone do not establish the price difference for your dates.
Keep the complete category name when searching. Gallery’s official list also has separate Club categories, so check the precise offer rather than treating every King listing as interchangeable.
For location, the official arrival guide describes a direct connection to Nagatacho Station’s Namboku Line Exit 9-a. Use that named connection to investigate your arrival route; it does not establish a platform-to-room time or a completely step-free journey.
The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo: Wider Does Not Mean Longer
Consider Sakura Tower’s Deluxe King if sharing width is a priority and its listed length meets your personal requirement. Compared with Gallery’s Deluxe King, it provides more width but less length. Treat those as separate decisions rather than letting the larger width settle both questions.
Match the full hotel name and Deluxe King category to the selling page. The specifications here belong to The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo; they should not be transferred to another Prince property. Its listed occupancy also remains the limit to check, regardless of the bed’s width.
The official directions describe approximately 3 minutes uphill from Shinagawa Station’s Takanawa Exit. Consider that slope when planning arrival with luggage. The estimate starts at the named exit, not your train platform.
Pullman Tokyo Tamachi: Resolve the Superior Configuration
Treat Pullman as a configuration check before making it a firm choice. Its Superior page identifies a King arrangement with a large writing desk and another with a window seat and work desk. Those descriptions can help you explain which arrangement you mean, but we have not established how to select the wider configuration in a booking.
Ask the hotel and seller which configuration corresponds to the exact offer, whether it is available for your stay, and whether the required width is confirmed or only requested. Do not infer the answer from the general Superior King name or a photo elsewhere in the hotel gallery.
If the 230 cm width is essential, obtain written confirmation before accepting a booking whose conditions you cannot change. If the allocation remains uncertain, compare a different category whose specification and booking can be matched to your needs.
Pullman is near JR Tamachi Station. Its official access page provides arrival information and contact details for your configuration inquiry.
When Another Bed Setup Fits Better
If you prefer separate sleeping surfaces, compare Twin rooms before pursuing a wider King. Pullman’s Superior page also lists a Twin arrangement. We have not established whether its beds can be moved together or whether that would create the sleeping surface you want. Ask about the actual layout if you intend to use a Twin differently from its published arrangement.
If three adults each need an individual bed, compare Tokyo hotel rooms for three adults. If separate bedrooms with an internal connection matter more than shared-bed width, compare Tokyo hotels with connecting rooms.
For a party including a child, give the hotel the child’s actual age and describe who will sleep where. A wide King does not itself establish permission for an additional guest or additional bedding. Pullman’s child allowance and no-rollaway condition should not be treated as an adult-bed arrangement.
Turn Your Requirements Into a Booking You Can Check
Use the official specifications to make a shortlist, then check the offer you would actually buy:
- Enter your dates, every adult and each child’s actual age. Check the room’s permitted occupancy against the entire party.
- Match the full hotel name, exact category and offered bed description. Use photos identified with that category to examine the layout, rather than relying on a general hotel gallery.
- If the seller uses a different name, send that offer to the hotel and ask which official category and configuration it represents. Ask the seller to confirm the same match.
- State your required width and length. If mattress construction or a join matters, ask about it explicitly; the bed count does not settle that question.
- Ask whether your essential configuration is included or merely requested. Check how the answer will appear in the booking record before committing to payment or cancellation terms you cannot accept.
The sources used here do not establish whether each listed King uses a continuous mattress or a combined construction. Neither a King label nor a photograph is enough for this guide to promise the absence of a join.
Reader inquiry template — replace the bracketed fields before sending:
Hello, we are considering [seller’s room name] at [full hotel name] for [dates], for [adult count] adults and children aged [actual ages, if applicable]. Does this offer correspond to [official category and configuration]? We require a bed at least [minimum width] wide and [minimum length] long. Please describe the mattress construction and any join, as [our preference] matters to us. Can this exact setup be confirmed for the stay, rather than recorded only as a request? How will the agreed category, dimensions and configuration appear in writing?
Keep the reply with your reservation and compare it with the written confirmation. If the confirmation lists only a broad category, ask the hotel and seller to clarify the essential dimensions and allocation. Resolve a mismatch while you can still make a booking decision that suits you.

Compare the Full Stay for Your Dates
Once a room meets your sleeping requirements, compare offers for the same dates, occupants, exact category and meal inclusions. Check the total charge, currency, taxes or payments shown separately, cancellation deadline and time zone, and payment timing. A larger published room or a higher category name does not establish better value for your needs.
Also test the location against arrival and the journeys you will repeat. If your base is still undecided, read where to stay in Tokyo for your first visit before settling on a hotel solely for its bed.
